Oil Tank repair, any ideas???????

The oil tank on my 72 has a very slight light that i have not made any attempt to repair, yet......

The tank has a very slight chip where the drain bolt threads meet the drainbolt. This creates a very slight drip which is starting to bother me....

What do people think would be the best way to repair this slight chip in the tank?? Should I take a fine file and very carefully try to round it out?

Any other ideas??? I have already tried using 2 gaskets, to no avail.

thanks
j

If the problem is the sealing surface ... then I would file it flat and use a cork of soft style gasket.
