New to Pelican from Montreal

Just a small thread to introduce myself.

I've been a very long Porsche 911 lover and always wanted a 1974-1989 Porsche 911.
I've been racing/driving lots of DSM and now and Evo VIII so always had a turbocharged vehicule, hence my user name.

Just bough a very good example of a clean SC 1983.

Though of a 3.2 but with this forum great help: always go for a nice example in good mechanical and body condition instead of a newer car in bad condition.

I have 29 years of receipts and the original booklets and bill of sale in Boston Ma.

Hope on learning here as much as I can and enjoy this incredibly emotional purchase.

take care

Paul

Paul

Nice and last year for the SC. How did you manage the 911 plate (no vanity plate in Qc last time I was there).

Salut

Welcome and nice ride.

This board has quite a few Porsche yoda's who really do know these cars backwards and are always willing to help out.

Cheers

Thanks a lot guy's.

The plate came with the last owner. Dealers were buying them for new 911.
Unfortunately I can't renew it. Stupid laws...
I'm gonna keepit as a good reminder of my first 911.

The car is pewter color with burgundy interior, a dark red color.
Options:
Fuchs 16" wheels
A/C working
Sports shocks
Pewter was and option
Sun roof

Motor rebuilt in 1999, only 10 000miles since.

2 owners

Lots of good maintenance, garaged kept. Paid a great price.

The paint isn't show room clean but a good compound would take care of it

Not bad for 180 000 mile car

Now it's in storage and it's killing me that I can't drive it.

Merci les boys

Nice car and welcome to Pelican.
I know the feeling.......bought mine in November (3 years ago) drove it less than a week and had to park it for the winter. Good luck with it.

Cool Baie d'Urfé is a super nice place... Any cross country trips?

Thanks for all the comments guy's I will surely use the great knowledge here when I start using the car.
It felt like a small boy at Christmas eve.
When the last owner started the motor I had chills down my spine and just by that I was instantly sold in my mind.
Got the biggest smile on my face for long time when the motor was warm and let it rip WOT. The sound with the aftermarket stainless exhaust is incredible.

Anybody can have a high HP car or a more modern feel but this car as soul and tons of it...

Welcome and it's a beautiful car. How many miles/kms.? It seems like everyone who finds a nice SC now days gets one with less than 100K miles on it. Hope you enjoy it for a long time.

It as almost 180 000 miles
Hope to drive more than that with it. There meant to be driven.

Gotta change the 4 tires the last owners kept the same hard/horrible all season tires for more than 8 years. Bricks.

Thinking of the Star Spec or Rs3 as my evo8.
