Engine Removal /Reinstall question
 

I've found a replacement engine for the junk one in my current 911. How many hours to drop the old one out and reinstall another complete engine. I'm not reusing any parts from the original engine. The replacement engine is complete with injection, clutch, heat exchangers and exhaust. Roughly how many hours in and out. Don't have a lift so I'll be doing this with 911 on jackstands. Thanx. L

What year car and engine? Have you ever done this before?

78 911 with the replacement being the same. 78 3.0. Yes I've done this years before but really didn't keep up with the time.

Start to finish will run you around 4-5 hours. Fastest I have done it was 2 hours 45 minutes.
