My RSR Rep.
I have been working on her for 12 yrs. off and on. I am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! Hope to be on the road by next summer. I am so thankful for Peleican Parts and all the Pelicanites for the education as well as a class outfit! I will post more pics when she's done. Have many details to finish.
Thanks Again, Bill http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1325639813.jpg [img]http]http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1325640056.jpg |

Them coppers are going to see you coming a mile away - but maybe that's the point? |

Yes more details. Motor, suspension specs etc. Is that the Hargett shifter assembly? Looks like a half cage in there too. Prototipo looks just right in there. Great looking rig.
|
Ok, that shifter assembly is absolutely amazing. What is it, and where do I get one? It's like the Spyker shifters, only more utilitarian--thus cooler.
NEVERMIND, FOUND IT. |
Hargett shifter assembly
Let us know what you think about the Hargett shifter assembly after you've had a chance to get on the road/track with it! Thanks!

Amazing!! Beautiful car!!
|
VERY nice.
I particularly like the body colour instrument cluster, and how it contrasts with the dash. (and I even really like the yellow on the inside of the doors. very boxster spyderish - whcih I suppose is really RSRlike.) I much prefer the way that your hood duct turned out compared to the one my car came with. Great work. |
I just had a thought. I think it would look fantastic if you removed the carpet just from the tunnel and displayed nice shiny yellow paint on that section as well

Thanks for all the nice comments. My car started as a '70' E and was in rough shape. I new from the get-go that I wanted to build a Hot Rod. I have tried to upgrade all that I could with the chassis. I changed to aluminum trailing arms with mono balls. Has Elephant Racing Bushings. Koni shocks and strut inserts. Adjustable roll bars, 22mm T-Bars Front/ 27mm Rear. Turbo tie rods and Brembo Brakes all around. The engine is still the 2.2L rebuilt and I changed from FI to Webbers. Has stainless headers and MSD ignition. Has a fuel cell and an Autopower Roll Bar. Body panels are GT-Racing. I have a set of Gotti wheels (9X15/11X15). I replaced floor pans as well. It's been such a long project, I've forgotten all that I've done. Thanks Again and I'll try to post some more pics as I go.

Awesome project Bill. Any details on the GT Racing parts would be great. I've got my 73 queued up for RSR flares sometime later this year.
|
12 years?
Good for you for seeing it through to the end. |
Man, I appreciate your patience and focus. What a beautiful looking Porsche.
