JE Pistons

Does anyone know how the reliability of Mahle(Andial) 2.9 liter P & C are with the mag case. Does anyone have a set of these for sale? How about JE 9.5 cr pistons for the 2.7. Are the reliable pistons. Does anyone have any favorable or negitive opinions about these pistons, and is there a good source for purchasing them, Thanks

I would suggest you do a search. (on JE Pistons) There's a search button in the top right corner of your screen. This topic has been debated alot. They are a good product that has its pluses and minuses just like any other product.

As for the 2.9 Mahles. Here's a thread

I think JE Pistons are good and a viable aftermarket replacement option for Mahle's. I think the main thing is having them custom made for your cylinders, which means your mechanic has to get ALL measurements right the FIRST time round and then order pistons specifically for the application.

I will be using JE's when it comes time for me to rebuild my engine as I want a custom set of 95mm, 8.0:1 Compression pistons (for turbo application), suitable for twin plugged application.

Just need to ensure all the measurements and compression requirements are communicated back to JE so they can make EXACTLY what's needed.

Good luck.
