Porsche Performance

hi

in the Porsche performance handbook bruce anderson, talks about a 2.2 upgrade to a 2.5 short-stroke racing motor
(page 138 paragraph 3)

but he doen not say much other than useing Mahle 89 mm pistons and cylinders

has anyone here done this before?

i am wondering how much work is involved, will i need to machine the case, what kind of power i should expect to see from it
