Now that would be a duck bill; not a tail.

Why no pics of cabs with ducks. I want a tail, but just don't care for whales. Would love a 964 if not for the A/C condenser issue. Any pics of cabs with various tales?

You won't see many, imho, they just don't pull the duck off well.. Tim

tail

Seems the duck is everywhere . I like IROC tail . It's less common, It looks a little more aggressive & has a little more down force .

Wherever you turn and look at a Porsche 964 and older they are almost all backdated with a ducktail

Is just me that is fed up with the ducktails on 85% on all old 911`s?

The IROC spoiler on the targa pictured below looks good. I really like that one

You are not supposed to remove one without the other. This according to Porsche

And for all of you that have put on a ducktail you must remove the front rubber lip because that is a part of the rear and front spoiler assembly
This according to Porsche[/QUOTE]

It is maybe almost just you, and no, the chin spoiler on front of a duck car is still purposeful. The duck still spoils the lift and the car still needs the front spoiler.

Its just you. Last show I went to, I'd say 3 or so of the 300 or more 911s had ducks. I'm sure there were many multiples of that sporting some form of the 'whale' tails. This just happens to be a thread where people are contributing pics of their ducks, its not representative of the real world.

Forgive my ignorance, I'm new to the 911 scene. Is switching to a duck a simple unbolt the old and bolt on the new? Does a fiberglass duck save you a little weight over the factory hood? I am on the fence about a duck or Carrera tail for my '87.

The 911(s) pictured that have had their Carrera tails replaced with ducks look neutered, and to go with a tail-less decklid is a full blown sex change!
