Porsche Alarm / Immobilisor
Hi All,
One of the things I've not got round to since buying my car is working out how the alarm works! According to the documentation a Scorpion 2000 alarm and a Porsche Immobiliser were fitted (by a Porsche dealer) back in 1995. The immobiliser works fine, but I just cant figure out the alarm. I have an extra key: Is this anything to do with the alarm?, I can't see a keyhole anywhere, are there any special areas where these things are installed? Cheers, Tim. ____________ 1983 SC Targa Last edited by AirCooledExcellence; 04-08-2002 at 06:28 AM.. |

there should be a key hole on the rear edge of your drivers door, should be above the latch assembly. it's in my owners manual on my 85' that this is what turns the system on/off.
hope this helps.

I can't find any keyholes on my doors, does anyone have any other ideas on possible locations?
Does the key look right for an alarm? Cheers, Tim. ____________ 1983 SC Targa |

I was going to say the same thing...."on the inside of the driver's side door." That is where ours is located. When we got our porsche last summer, the Alarm did not work. We were told we have to have it "refitted" which we are going to do this summer. good luck!
