Air conditioning? what else can you do without?
 

Air conditioning? Really? What other conflict of interests can you do without in your 911 SPORTS car?

Heat

Power windows

Sound deadening

Rear seats and carpeting

Spare tire, and therefore the air compressor

center console, ac switchers, cassette tapes holder

rubber bumper pads, sunroof delete. factory alarm and wiring, factory cruise control

My Euro '78 came from factory without AC, no power windows, no power antennae, no console or cruise... It has one power mirror. Someone added AC and front side markers when it arrived in the US to Arizona. Was it possibly a "sport" version originally, or pretty normal for the German market?

No radio in mine, heat is inadequate, carpet missing...I can do without a lot. All I really need is a steering wheel, shift lever, and decent seat. The rest is icing, or not necessary :).

My US 79 SC came without AC, power windows, power antenna, driver side mirror only, no fog lights. That is the way I wanted it, just the basics! And it held up well:

Passengers, I'm really sick and tired of telling them not to leave finger imprints on the dash........

My ROW SC also came without many creature comforts. Somebody added a mirror to the passenger side, but I deleted the back seat, sound deadening, and radio/speakers. I would normally say it doesn't need heat, but in the Northeast, I need the windshield defrosters in the mornings and evenings.

Sunroof. But I hear it's a lot of work to remove one...

Evergreen tree air fresheners.

Passenger side seat too, if you are so inclined.

Deleted A/C, stock power seats, heater blower, console, radio (since the pic was taken), rear seats, windshield washer tank, catalytic converter, stock door panels replaced with RSA, stock muffler replaced with lighter M&K and replaced the stock F&R bumpers & bumper shocks with TRE IROC 'glass bumpers.

You also got rid of the very heavy Flag mirrors and replaced them with the Vitaloni light weight mirrors! I did that to my driver side and deleted the passenger side.

The Flags are very heavy...

How does the saying go? Properly functioning steering and brakes is mandatory, everything else is optional...
