Gastester Success!
All,
I just tuned up the Bosch Mechanical Fuel Injection on my 1973 911 T over the weekend using the Gunson Gastester I just purchased. The car now runs as smooth as butter! I set both the part throttle and idle CO mix to between 6-7%(I know this is higher than stock specs, but I remember reading a prior Pelican post that recommended 6-7%). Anyways, I am now very pleased with the results. The adjustment took about an hour. Let me know if anyone has any questions. Bill

Bob, read my review of the Gunson Gas tester here: http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7439&highlight=Gunson+Gas+Tester

I just ordered one of these testers. I ordered the "pro" version, it reads dwell and RPM too. I now will be able to adjust the CIS without guessing.

I ordered from the following link. I paid about $138. Not bad for allowing a "do it yourselfer" to accurately tune a bosch mechanical fuel injection system. I figured that I could do it better than most local mechanics.
http://www.aep.bigstep.com/Digital.htm I'd highly recommend this tool...Just make sure you have a syncrometer and bosch adjustment tools first... Bill
