fabcar shifter install

i just purchased a fabcar shifter for my 930 on ebay. it was in a porsche 914 and i was wondering if i need a different shaft for my application? the shaft it came with seems too small in diameter and too short in length. do i need to modify my current shift shaft to what came with this shifter? the installation direction i downloaded make no mention to this they just say hook to existing coupler. and help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance, mick

Try posting in the racing/autocross forum. I don't believe too many owners of mainly street driven 911s have that setup.

You might post in the Turbo forum as well.

Good luck with the install. Post some pics when completed.

Having installed a few of these I think you're just going to
use your imagination and fab skills it's not real complicated
install the body then figure the shaft length.
You can use electrical conduit to mock it up
