Stuck Dizzy Rotor !

Hi All,

I tried to replace my rotor arm earlier but it seems to be stuck to the shaft of the distributor. I thought they should simply lift off?, or is there something else I should be doing?

Cheers,

Tim.

Sometimes, it does take a little force....Try wiggling it from left to right, then pulling it off. Try this a few times.
Good luck. :)

Be Careful!!!! Don't bend the shaft by prying. If it is really stubborn, there is another method. Some rotors are GLUED onto the shaft (your car's rotor should not be glued on but who knows). In this situation, you should crack it like a nut, into two pieces.

If you are replacing the rotor, just take a plastic mallet and give it a medium tap on the top of the rotor. This will generally break it loose and make it east to pull off.
