Just wanted to get some feedback on 911 Carrera Brake upgrades. I am trying to upgrade the brakes without draining my wallet (or maxing the VISA). I have investigated 930 conversions and Big Red's, but because I have other projects going on with my car I am trying to keep the expense reasonable.
Paragon Products offers a Boxster Front Kit (Calipers, adapters, hardware and pads) that utilizes my stock Carrera rotors for a very reasonable price. However, they offer no rear kit. Does any one have experience doing business with them----service or sheisters? Does anyone know where I can get only adapters and hardware for a Rear Caliper Boxster upgrade to an 87 911? Pelican's Price on stock Boxster calipers is not bad. The package may meet my budget needs---but I need to find the mounting adapters and hardware. TRE Motorsports has quoted a full (Front and Rear calipers with hardware and x-drilled rotors, fluid, etc) for $2750 + shipping. Trying to beat that price. I will ask them for options as well. Any feedback on TRE? Base on what I have read here, sound like a pretty knowledgeable crew. That's why I signed up..... http://www.tremotorsports.com

George---
Thanks for the link. Some very good points. Better to spend pennies before dollars.......I'll try the lower cost options before stepping up. ![]()
