Hi Guys, I am seeking access to the rear of the Dash in the vicinity of the Fog-Light Switch. Using the Bentley Service manual, they take me through removing the Fresh Air Blower, but then I'm still faced with the PLENUM, which is still in place and the Bentley Manual, stops there! Can anyone help me with the secret to pulling the Plenum? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks a bunch. vincecappelletti@embarqmail.com

Remove the cowl support on the right of plenum and the drain on the bottom, push it down to remove it from the housing,
There is 2 long screws on the intake at the cowl. The whole thing should roll out toward you from the bottom. Bruce |

I only saw the two long bolts in the parts diagram as fasteners. |

Thanks for the guidance. I've released what I think you call the "cowl-support" at the cowl, and now I must release it at the bottom. [That's the Flat-steel-strap with the kink it it near the cowl] I'll get on that hose @ the bottom in the morning, and let you know. Regards, Vince Cappelletti |

Hi Bob,
I got thoser two. I think the guidance from Flat6Pac will sort me out. releasing that "Cowl-Strap" at the lower end is going to be touchy, I think. Releasing that short rubber-hose that serves as a drain for the plenum with something. Thaqnks, Vince Cappelletti |

To: Flat6Pac:
Thank you for your guidance: It came out just as you said it would. In the process I decided to alter the "Cowl-Support" at the lower end. I merely "opened" the hole, and converted it to a slot. It makes the replacing of the cowl-support a lot easier. Regards, Vince Cappelletti, Bonita Springs, FL. |
