seat stuck in one position, not sliding on the track

I have a problem with the driver seat on my 1973.5 911T. It is stuck in one position on the slider track.

I looked under the seat and can see where the slide release locks into the the floor track and it moves freely and otherwise is not binding stuck.

I am thinking that what might have happened is that one the allen head machine screws holding either the female track to the floor or the male track to the seat has worked itself loose and fallen into the track, jamming it.

Has anyone else ever had this problem and if so, what was the fix?

You are probably going to have to take the seat out of the car, if you can. There are 4 bolts holding it to the floor of the car. You may have a hard time getting to either the 2 front bolts or the 2 back, depending on where the seat is stuck on the tracks.

I had a similar issue with the passenger seat, manual and not powered, while attempting to remove it to redo my interior.
The seat would barely one direction or the other but not enough to clear the remaining bolt on the front (all the rear and both front on one side were removed).
It turned out that I had partially loosened a bolt that got stuck caulk-eyed when I tried to move the seat on the rail ti remove the rear bolts.
It took a lot of patience, a small flashlight, and a long skinny screwdriver to move the bolt just enough to fall back into its hole so I could finally move the seat back to access the remaining bolt still tight on the front plus the one that was "locking" the seat.
Good luck!
