Inside Mike

Engine rebuilding gurus:
I'm looking to buy an inside measuring micrometer set. I saw a Starrett outfit at a local tool supply that looked good, but are there any other brands I should consider?
(No Harbor Freight-style tools please).

I have some Moore and Wright micrometers that seem to be of high quality (you can have some things in your garage that are British, and don't leave a puddle) later, MAX

Doug. My personal preference would be the Starret set, but I have used a Mitutoyo set and they were very nice. I just checked a sales flyer and Enco has the a 2-6" mit set for $104.79

Thanks guys for your comments. I bought the Starrett, with all the bits to measure up to a 6' bore. That should handle everything from my m/c's, to the Porsche, to a marine diesel (if I had one!)
