KEP clutch adjustment

Hello all; I have done a search, and adjusted for a couple hrs. and neither has solved the problem. I have a 87/930, with newly rebuilt engine/4 speed gearbox, both new to the car. Mating engine and gearbox went well with TO bearing and fork together as they should. When installed the clutch adjustment has not been so easy. The pedal will not return as it should, and now, the more I adjust, the worse it gets. The omega spring seems to snap out of tension, leaving the pedal to the floor. Any in-site would be of help. thanks Philip
