Any experience with Michelin Pilot Sport?
I'm buying new tires for my 930 this summer, and had my mind set on Bridgestone Potenza but I don't like the thread pattern on the new S03's. I really liked the S02.
I have been sniffing at the Michelin Pilot Sport, but haven't heard much about them in Porsche circles. Any experience with these out there? Do you care about the look of the thread pattern when buying tires for your Pcar?

Michelin Pilot tires
I installed 206/60/VR15 Michelin Pilot XGT V4's 2-3 months ago. While I haven't been on a track with them, for an all-season ultra-high performance tire, so far they have handled great wet and dry. And they look good on the 'ol girl!

I use the Michelin XGT Pilot as well. Not as extreme as the Pilot Sport so comparison is useless, but I virtually cannot get them to slide. Wet or dry. On my very first autocross (2 yrs ago) it was raining and I was determined to spin/slide. I failed. It wouldn't spin.
Nowadays I can spin pretty impressively. Particularly when the tires are worn. They don't perform well worn. But I have fresh ones on now and Bremerton AX is next Saturday. WooHoo!!!

Thanx everyone. And to you Joe. I think the Pilots look cool. I'm not very satisfied with my current Dunlops. Even though they are worn, they work fine on the street, but they overheat on the track and feel like gello.
I think I'll go for the Michelins based on your response.
