911 kit car

no affiliation. thought this was interesting as I'd never seen one. no $10,000 engine rebuilds.

The exterior body work actually looks really nice in my opinion.

Is it a Covin? From looking at the pics on my cell phone, it looks a little off even for a swb 912

Perfect movie car: Use a real one for establishment shots, and this one is the throw away that gets blown up, torched, etc

Kit cars like these have been around for a long time. Sad really...I always thought it would be easier to work a second job so you could buy a real one.

A guy I know personally bought a Lamborghini kit car... That thing destroyed his marriage. It sat languishing for years in his back yard always waiting for more funds so he could complete it. I'll never forget how his wife asked me to intervene. She had tears in her eyes. I tried but the conversation soon turned sour. Meanwhile he's now single and that stupid car is still sitting in his driveway covered in old sheets with a huge oil stain underneath. The paint was never done so the gell coat is fading and powdery now. There's an ancient Nissan V6 and VW tans in it. The interior hasn't been started. He's owned it for 17 years

Hey Schumicat,

I saw that post last night and emailed the seller. I'd love to go and just see that car. Curiosity, you know.

I think it's cool. I would've liked that in school. The paint looks much better than mine.
