sticky steering wheel.....temporary fix...

well i was outside tooling around and being that spring is here and it's raining (of course) my steering wheel started chunking off in my hands so tomorrow i'm going to order a new replacement cover which everyone praised in an earlier thread.
in the meantime i just didn't want to deal with this chunking, so i headed to a local sports store and picked up some black sport tape (like used on baseball bats) and spent about an hour wrapping my wheel, it'll come right off once i recieve the new cover but it'll do in the meantime and isn't real ugly.
just a little insight to a temporary fix

yes it's a stock wheel, i've been thinking of updating to a newer one but it's not a priority right now

mine has a wide rectangular horn button with 2 spokes going strait to the wheel on either side, is this what the 88's look like? you got me thinking now

Cool

bell...it is a stock 4 spoke '88 wheel...Personally I would buy a "Personal" wheel. The Fitapapldi with the serial numbers are desireable and rare and may go for $150 at Hershey...now that I know you don't have to be concours stock
