3.6 conversion - where to connect this??

Hi,

I took the engine out to work to install a TPC Supercharger. I was going through the wiring and noticed that there is a ground cable which I don't remember having disconnected from the engine. One side is connected to the side of the engine bay. Could anyone please check the pic and let me know where to connect that ground cable?

Thanks

it is hard to see but that looks like the ground strap that goes to the bottom of the Bosch CDI unit...?

I took the Bosh unit out when I did the conversion . There is only parts of it left, mainly the rear windshield defroster relay... maybe that's why the defroster is not working?!

probably, that ground wire should go to the car, which it looks like its connected, and to the unit, i believe it also grounds the relays on that relay board in the back left corner of the engine, where your defrost relay is,...try running it back to that relay board and see if that works.

Maybe this picture will help a bit.
The original box was replaced by one of a 993, but it is basically hiding the 14pin connector that goes to the engine, after the conversion. I dont really know what the 3 fuses in there are. And, the big silver square is the rear windshield defroster.

Thanks

I Think that should to be connected to the alu mount where all the relays, cdi etc are mounted.

The aluminum mount is isolated on rubber mounts hence needs grounding, this is the strap that does that.
