Turn around time for Zuffenhaus wheels
Any one have any info on current turn around time for Zuffenhaus Fuchs? I have called\emailed a number of times and they are still "compiling a list." Anyone heard that before?

Not sure how much background you know about this, but from what I understand, Jeff Alton (on this board) sold the designs to Zuff. Seems that Jeff did not have sufficient control of his suppliers due to various reasons, mainly low production volumes (my speculation), and the effect was long lead times.
I thought when Zuff bought the design out that that was going to be one of the things they were going to improve on. Anyway, it's possible that the demand is just too low and they wait to get a few people lined up before they get something into production...I don't know, just speculating. It's a high quality product and might be worth the wait. Just gotta get someone to call you back and tell you how long huh? Good luck.

My last e-mail exchange with Kieth had Zuffenhaus no longer taking orders for wheels. Instead, they were only going to sell from in-stock. I asked him to contact me when the next shippment of wheels arrived. It's been some time now and I have not heard from him.

I've been waiting over a year now..... I really like the wheels, I had a set for a narrow body, and want a set for my wide body. I hope I can hold out.

I wonder how many sets of Zuffenhaus wheels could have been sold had the supply side of things been better?
When my brother and I were doing the widebody conversion on the '87 Carrera we really wanted a set of 9 & 11x17" Zuffs but the wait time was much too lengthy. So we went with a set of custom built TruDesign 17" Fuchs that took a whopping three weeks from the time we sent the donor wheels until we received them. They look great and function perfectly. However, the TD's don't look as 'prototypically correct' as the Zuffs. But when a project is underway and you need something as important as wheels, you gotta do what you gotta do, to finish it on schedule. With that said, if a set ever becomes available (in RSR finish), I'll probably still be interested. The Zuffs are gorgeous wheels!

Ditto.
I guess that is at least two sets they could have sold, and another satisfied customer of TrueDesign instead.

Maybe it would be a good idea to run your Zuff wheel order through Singer Vehicle Design. I bet they get theirs quick enough...
