A gift for a 911/993 owner

Hello

I would like to give a friend of mine who owns a 911/993 Carrera a gift. Is there a part/accessory/paraphernalia that a 911/993 connoisseur would appreciate?

Thanks.

Look on the accessories page in the new catalog section. Plate frames and key fobs are nice hats mugs ect...
I would guess your going to get a lot of "Smart" answers as these fellas are a fun lot.

Thank you both. I am looking for something special - something of a bit more substantial value to an owner than a "generic" (for lack of a better word) accessory or part. I have no clue, but for example, is there a specific item that is highly sought after, difficult to get? Like a set of authentic luggage items, or maybe a shift stick knob?

I am just guessing, because I am not a Porsche owner myself and I have no idea what would make a Porsche owner tick.

The best and will be appreciated gift a 993/964 owner will need is a ..... spare DME relay. It's also pretty cheap too.

That or a scale model of the 993 in the exact same color.

I could build and paint an exact replica of your friends car in a garage diorama. It would definitely be one of a kind.....Cost would be around $300.

If you hang out here for a while you will discover that diversity seems to be the most common attribute for a Porsche owner. These cars are capable of being "just driven" in an enjoyable manner or can be "driven like you stole it". The same car can tolerate both types of usage and reward the driver for the use or abuse.

Some people think that altering it from factory is a disaster, some think that any modification that the factory tried is acceptable, and some will do anything they can think of... And those three factions will argue endlessly here about their viewpoint.

I think your safest bet is something Porsche related that doesn't actually go on the car. As mentioned before, a model that looks just like their car is a safe bet. Shirts, hats, office accessories may be good choices if you know their style. If you know that they like a certain type of Porsche racing a poster may be good.

It is all going to come back to the individual.

I get what your asking but still a tough question to answer...wish we could be of more help. I do like the suggeston above about finding a model car that replicates your friends

Search Porsche Design for more up scale shopping.

DME Relay. Everyone knows it's what 993 and 964 owners really want.
