Modified Engine Wiring Harness

Due to adding electronic engine management and crank fire ignition with PMO ITB's. I must rebuild a modified engine wiring harness. After reviewing the wiring harness info both on this site and manuals, I am having trouble determining the gag wire required. I suspect that oil temp, pressure; senders, indicators, and switch wires are 16 awg. The generator to starter B+(red) is 8 awg. The B+(red) wire and D+(blue) wire from generator to the T14 connector is 12 awg as well as the yellow wire from starter to T14 connector. Am I missing a legend of wire size on the wiring diagram charts? Is there a former string on this subject that I may reference? Any help would be appreciated.

This should help.

I'm not sure of all the schematics, but quite a few of them have the wire cross-section in square mm. There is a slight problem converting from metric wire sizes to AWG wire size, for example the B+(red) from the alternator to the starter is 10 square mm which is 7 AWG for a 79 SC. For this wire I chose 6 gage. The red wire from the alternator to the voltage regulator is 2.5 square mm, etc. Google metric to AWG to get a table of the appropriate wire sizes. I ordered metric wires and electrical connectors from EagleDay. However, this might take a couple of weeks or more to get the wires and some are not avail. I hope this helps. I'm currently building a harness for Jenvey ITB's, EDIS and Megasquirt II.
