Sad sight
This car must have been going pretty fast backwards to go under the safety barrier...

Wow, imagine the expression on the face of the Turbo owner when his repair shop calls to them him how they've "fixed" his car?

I hope that the Brake and Clutch shop has high limits on their liability policy.

That probably comes under their "employee stupidity" policy rather than liability...

Reason number 90 something why I hate having anyone do anything for me.
Other reasons include: Crushed oil lines. Bent rocker panels. Scratched FUCHS--that however, is ridiculous.

I'm sure they'll add the appropriate 'spin' to the story when the have to tell the customer.

1. Evidently the "auto brake" they installed wasn't operating correctly;
or 2. Next time, they will send ONE person who can both brake AND clutch, not one of each. Humor (attempts) aside I hate to see any Porsche destroyed. Except maybe the Cayenne.

I beter add a comment here; Auto Brake and Clutch are a fabulous bunch of guys. Damon (not in the picture) drives a SC just like my car and they have done some really good work on my 911 at a very resonable cost. But as far as the crash goes, I cant believe the car squeezed itself under the safety railing.

What a disaster! The Auto Brake & Clutch guys are good up here too....but what sort of excuse can you give for spinning a Turbo backwards through a barrier? Looks like a classic screw-up to me!
Still, it's heartening to note that the sight of a 911 Gone Mad still manages to make the press. I doubt the same could be said of the bannana-shaped Honda CRX I say last week when it met an untimely demise at the hands of a telephone pole.

You never know how mechanics treat your car when they're doing a "road test". They could be doing a legitimate check or they could be out there thrashing the hell out of your car.
