1970 911 Windshield Wiper Relay ?
I am having some problems with my wipers in that they seem to go on and off in a random fashion.
The mechanic helping me put the car back together thinks it is a relay but we couldn't find it last night. Is there a relay for this model year ? When I look at the Pelecian catalog, the wiper motor for 1970 is NLA and it seems it was unique to 1970 as the motor is available for 69 and previous and 71 and later. Any suggections on where the relay can be found or if one actually exists for this car would be greatly appreciated. Jim |

The first setting on my wipers runs two swipes, then a pause, then two swipes... its what it is supposed to do. Just a little different than the way my toyota does it when we have a light rain.
It seemed erratic at first, but not anymore.

Are all the 1970 911T's in Canada?
Hey Jim:
There ARE relays for the wiper circut for the 1970 911's. They 2 per car actually - on for the imtermittent circuit and one for the regular circuit. They are about 1"x1"x2", silver, and are located to the left of the wiper motor (when looking into the trunk). I'll dig out the part #'s and check them for you when I get home. Hope this helps Andrew M 1970 911 T |
