Tie rod update & alignment

Well I just got back from getting the front end aligned and what an ordeal to get there. I shopped around and found a garage that does nothing but alignments (since 1945) and they said "bring her on in, we'll do it while you wait" These guys were top notch. I felt good pulling my screeching tires into the parking lot and seeing an old perfectly restored Mercedes Convertible (Circa 50s-early 60s) sitting there after getting an alignment along with several Corvettes an old T-Bird etc. It was a little more expensive than I expected but I didn't mind a bit ($70.00) for the piece of mind I left with.

"That Por-shee drives like a dream", so said the mechanic after returning from a test drive to insure everything was working correctly.

Well it's 89 degrees here in the Queen City, time to put the sunroof back and go for a long drive....Thanks to Craig Stevens on this board for his help!

Hey! A fellow NCer. Where did you go to get your alignment done? Believe it or not I have mine in right now awaiting a corner balance/alignment in a shop in Matthews (Sporstcar Authority). I would appreciate any good local P-car information. Too much West coast stuff here that I can't make use of. So far I have been pretty pleased with the place. The owner is heavy into SCCA and currently running in the trans-am series. More than willing to let me in the back to help work on the car.

Casey, the shop I found is an alignment shop only. It is located downtown Charlotte on South Tryon, Carroll Aligning. Top notch outfit all modern equipment. Established in 1945.
