Anyone have a schematic for the vacuum lines on a Carrera 3.2?

My has car has been so modified for the turbo system, I don't know sometimes if things are in the right place.

Hi FatSix, do you also happen to have a vacuum shematic for a 79 SC?

Sorry; I just archived this one since I have an 85 3.2 . . . can anyone else help a brother out?

86 911 Targa 02-16-2012 02:42 PM

Vaccum Lines.

Here's a few more for the 3.2.

What is that switch behind the throttle body with 2 ports?

I forgot.

porwolf 02-16-2012 02:51 PM

Thanks for the links, FlatSix!

That is the temperature switch in Flat Six's decal.
The micro switch behind that in the photo that 86 911 Targa uploaded is the idle micro switch.

Tippy 02-16-2012 03:05 PM

I'm asking about the switch/sensor that has the two vacuum lines in that picture.

It's left of the idle microswitch in that pic.

Tippy 02-16-2012 03:07 PM

Gotta stop looking at pics on my iPhone, no zoom capability on Pelican. I see it's a temperature switch.

What exactly does it do?

86 911 Targa 02-16-2012 03:12 PM

Vaccum Switch.

It's a temperature/vacuum switch for the vacuum lines going to the fuel pressure dampers. (24).

(NLA).

Ah, I see what it does according to "Flat 6's" pic.

It is "T"d to the intake vacuum port on one side and then an outlet port to the oil tank.

It must cut vacuum to the oil tank until the engine is warm I assume?

davidpsalt 10-22-2019 05:48 AM

bringing this back to life - trying to confirm what the temperature vacuum switch controls when hot. It appears to have one hose the goes from the switch back to the throttle body/intake - the other appears to go from the switch to the vacuum switch over by the oil tank. Is this correct? Earlier post claims it controls the fuel regulator and fuel damper - but my 85 3.2 is not set up that way - want to make sure all my lines are going to the correct place as I am hunting down vacuum leaks contributing to cold start issues.

Anyone happen to have a good couple of pics of the backside of a 3.2 to capture the routing of the vacuum lines? Those pics are helpful Gerry, just looking for a few more for detail.

Hi Nader2- That appears to be Part #30, which ends at the Recirculating Air Valve (#93020722702) located next to the oil fill cap.

I've been search but can't seem to find what the part # is for 24A is in the pic. Can it be purchased separately? The rubber section on mine has a crack and I can probably repair it pretty easily, but wondered if it can be purchased.
