HELP: Wheel & Braking Problem
Hello, I have a client of mine with a new 2012 911 Turbo S. Everything on it is factory/original. He purchased the big black wheels that come on the new Gt2. When he initiates the brakes there is a loud screeching noise. He was able to narrow down the noise from the rear wheels/brakes. Do you guys have any idea on what the issue could be. He didn't have any spacers put on or anything like that.

If the car is new then it's still under warranty and he should bring it back to the dealer ...
Unfortunately you're not going to get many answers regarding a new 2012 Turbo on this forum as it's mainly for older air cooled models but you may want to post on The Rennlist forums,a lot more info on newer models ! Cheers ! Phil

=1 on trying Rennlist or at least the 996/997 forum here.
The screeching noise COULD be from the brake pads needing adjustment or due to their compound. Race pads or even aggressive "street" pads tend to squeal under normal driving conditions. Either way, I would take it back to the dealer and let them deal with it under warranty.

Interesting thing is the noise only occurs with the GT2 wheels on it.
