'87 front bumper skirt removal, how?

Since I raised my car up on ramps and jacks (got to be safe!) for the check valve, I figure I might as well get more involved and fix the dent by the fog light. It is the metal "skirt" above the plastic spoiler and under the "real" protruding bumper. How difficult is it to removed it for a good pounding out of the dent? I think I can remove "it" without removing the plastic spoiler, right? By the way, what is "it" called anyway? Thanks

It's kind of a pain in the butt actually. I took mine off a couple years back and remember the hardest part being finding all the hidden bolts (there are two which you have to access from the very front of the trunk). Then you have to access some from the front of each wheelwell (by the plastic accordian thingies).

I'll second that. Replaced mine about a year ago and its just a bugger. Watch your "valve thing" for the window/ headlight washers. Very fragile and I killed mine when I was removing the bolts inside the trunk area.
