Boge strut front for '68

Hi,

i bought a set of boge front strut for my '68 912.
The number on the strut is
1-0391-32-949-0
901 341 903 00

i went to stoddard website to check if this is correct for my 912 and found out that 901 341 903 00 is for 1969-1971 911/912 model.

The question is will this be ok to use on my '68 model
the stoddard website doesn't list any thing for '68 boge strut.

Thanks in advance,
bao

I didn't look up to confirm the part numbers, but the 69-71 strut does not fit a 68 - unless the 69+ control arms are also fit along with the 69-71 ball joint.

The ball joint is totally different on the 65-68.

Chuck is right. Post some pics and we'll tell you what you have. PO may have updated as the newer style balljoint is a fraction of the price of the old style. Some believe the newer ball joints to be safer but that's somewhat controversial.
