Installing Aero Mirrors on 964 Questions?

I really dislike the 70's door mirrors on the 964.
I was going to find a set of Aero Mirrors to install

I have a few Question I would like answered from someone who did the conversion

1 . Will the Aero bases line up with the factory door holes from the OEM mirror
(Ie start forward install?) or is there drilling new holes involed?
2. Is the wiring just unplug and install or will a rewire or new harness be needed
3 ..Will the new Aero gasket base cover up the old style gasket markings on the door

thanks so much!!!

no new drilling. same holes.

wiring ends up being a cut and splice affair for most. i fought it but in the end it's hard to pull the wires from the connectors.

the gaskets cover most but not all. not really noticeable on my car. it's best to clean/polish a bit when mounting the new here:
