windscreen and headlights wash question

Hi, maybe someone could post some pictures how windscreen and and headlights washing system should be connected. It took a while since I have disassembled my car, so now can't remember how to make it work. Strange thing for me is that, why do I need 3 water pumps to do 2 functions?

Having stripped my washer system down and rebuilt it some months ago, I think from memory that the hose with tba arrow is just an air vent, ie goes to atmosphere. On my 86 euro the hose went through the inner wing behind the battery and is just for overflow or breathing. When I tried to empty my reservoir it was full of nasty smelling "jelly" probably weighed 3 or 4 Kgs. Had to rinse it thoroughly and eventually put it in the dish washer for a final clean, swimbo was unaware. HTH

thanks, and what about the pump that is under small wash fluid reservoir?

and talking about pump [17]. It can collect water from tank only through connector [32] using hose [2g] and there is a t type connection, so this means that it will be taking fluid from washers and reservoir and will be blowing it back to reservoir through hose [2b]?
please correct me if I am missing something...

Ornas: Sounds like your car might have the optional Intensive Washer System, with a second reservoir (and third pump) inside the front trunk near the brake booster/master cylinder, yes?

If so, perhaps this diagram will help you:

Yes, intensive washer system is a separate system for the windscreen only -- designed to spray a special fluid to remove road grime under much higher pressure than the regular windscreen washer nozzles.

Here are a couple of threads that describe more (and show pictures):

Intensive washer reservoir

Need any info for high-intensity washer conversion

Hope this helps.

Thanks for this -- I've noticed in the past that when my washer fluid is running low, my headlight washers will stop working -- now I see why
