1988 targa No spark won't turn over
My 88 won't fire over. My mechanic friend tells me there is no spark on the negative side of the coil (ignitor) It tries to start, but just won't fire. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips/pointers greatly appreciated.

Could be many things. Use the search function "3.2 no start" "carrera no spark"
Here are two things to look at: DME relay. Reference sensors.

i'll be checking the dme relay. i read an earlier post that had my symptoms that i should have mentioned. prior to not firing over at all now, it would fire over then if the car was in gear it would run fine. after putting neutral i would have to keep the revs up or it would stall. this happened for a day. it sat then fired up again. drove it and it kept running, rpms would drop, press gas to recover, then finally it stalled and would not restart. sounds like it want's to, but won't.
