Door pull repair
1970 911 - has anyone found an adhesive that will bond the "rubber" material to the metal? I've tried a couple of epoxies with no success. Cleaned, clamped, warmed it up etc.

Check your local yellow pages for a dental tech. They have amazing glues that are not available to just anyone.

if you have some POR15 paint laying about use it...I've 'glued' unusual things together with it besides my finger tips.

How about "Household Goop", available at hardware stores. I think it is Urethane based and very goog for glueing flexible parts. I used "Goop" on tennis shoes and felt slippers. It surely lasts!

Have you tried using some epoxy/resin. I would try that and clamp it down really good when you do. On another note, I was having an issue with my door panels, they were simply worn out and needed replacement. I decided instead of trying to fix them I ditched them for some RS style door panels that I made my self. They look and work great. If you are not looking to restore the car to be all original, consider some thing like this
RS style door pannels, a fiberglass project They were cheap to make and look great. Regards Dave

I may solved the problem. I tried Araldite but it did not bond to the "rubber". Then I tried Gorilla glue and clamped it. It has held for about a week. That stuff has a low viscosity so be careful to wipe it off quickly.
