Seat Removal - manual SC seat

'86 911 Carrera Coupe.

I currently have a manual SC seat installed on the driver's side. I bought this seat and modified the cushion to get more head room. Now we are tracking the car and I have a Recaro Pole Position to install.

I am having a problem getting the manual seat out of the car. It appears that when I had a mechanic put in the Recaro SRDs recently, which didn't work out for me, and subsequently put the manual seat back in, he may have used a different bracket with the sliders.

I was expecting to remove the two allen head nuts at the front, move the seat forward and remove the four allen head nuts at the back and lift the seat out.

Well, I removed the front bolts, moved the seat foward and can see two empty holes where the bolts should be. Turns out the bolts are farther forward, under the sliders, and I can't get to them!!!

Is there some trick to release the seat so that it moves even farther forward?

I am going to take a couple pictures in a few minutes and post them.

It does seem like a waste of money to pay someone to swap out seats for me. On the other hand, I feel like an idiot because I can't even get this seat out!!!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Front: There were two allen head nuts on each side on the front. I didn't have any problem getting those out.

Rear: From this pic, you can sort of see the two rear holes. From underneath, I can feel the bolt in the third hole but I can't get the seat far enough ahead to get to it.

How were you finally able to access the bolts? I am having the same type of problem taking the seats out of my 1983 911 SC.

Thanks.
