last muffler nut (on turbo)
I removed the engine on Sat to adjust the valves (I've heard it can be done in the car, but I don't see how!) and do some other things. I changed all the filters, plugs, cap, rotor, and sport shocks. I have a muffler that I am trying to put on, but can not get to the last nut; the bottom inside nut that mounts to the turbo. Any suggestions on how to get at it? It is not a problem of corrosion (the others came off fine), just the problem of access. I also have the headers, but was going to wait to put those on because of the corrosion/rust on those nuts. Perhaps I might be better off letting a shop tackle these in case any of the studs break off. Sorry this is so long. Thanks in advance. Clayton

Anyone? I was thinking this morning about one of those s-shaped box wrenches, but I'm still not sure it would have the clearance.

Not sure about the nut, but go to the Technical Article section of Pelican's site and read the one about header replacement. It may help you decide how to proceed. Not a task for the thin walleted or feint hearted.

Hello
Wobble nut and extension. Start with that and use the diagonaly oppesite to generate the pressure. Grüsse |
