1976 porsche 930 turbo fuel pump

Hi, My car has the original fuel pump, I would like to install a new replacement pump, the OEM parts are expensive. I'm thinking another Bosche pump could be adapted, any advice would be helpful. Thanks

Bosch 044 motorsport pump exceeds factory spec for old Porsche pumps by a wide margin - and is considerably cheaper that most factory pumps to boot (usually ~$200), as they're used by everything from factory Cosworths, WRC rally cars and many of the higher-output Japanese tuners.

They're an upgrade in every respect. Real ones are built in Czechoslavakia. Mine's lasted >5 years and >25,000 miles so far - and shows no signs of any problems.

044's are rated at 13A max (although mine doesn't draw that much), so check/change the fuse & wiring (terminals are also bigger than stock).

You may need some metric fittings to adapt the pump to stock factory hoses (it's an M18 outlet on an 044). Found this for someone else with the same question: http://www.j2precisionhose.com/products/Goodridge/Catalogue%20Pdf%27s/SECTION7.pdf - look at p11 (metric adaptors, metric unequal male concave seat) - sure other people do similar fittings.

When my front pump went I installed an SC pump. I hated cutting the wires but I had the pump in hand and it worked. Looking at the PET for the later turbos, it is suposed to.

O44 bosch pump, and turbokraft has the adapter to make it fit. Very easy, very doable.
