Question swaping front condensor for an oil cooler

Hi guys
I'm thinking of removing my front condenser and replacing it with an oil cooler. Has this been done before, and if so what brand and size. details would be appreciated.
The blower fan still works , I just don't know if it has enough CFM to do the job. I think it would be a good spot, protected and plenty of air flow.
If this is a bad Idea. please let me know why?

thanks
Joe

Why don't you just put it where it should go? Under the front right fender.

Hi Joe,

Some folks use an RX7 oil cooler in that location. Here's a link: RX7 oil cooler on a 911?

Just the opposite.........

I'm thinking of moving my front condenser to a location behind the front air dam where an oil cooler usually goes. That would certainly allow more air to flow thru the condenser and thus make cooler a/c. Since I already have a large Setrab oil cooler in the right front fender I don't really need a front cooler.

Those fans don't really push much air. Plus there is no clean airflow getting to that spot (the valence is deflecting most of the airflow, especially if you have a chin spoiler) and it is in a very vulnerable location to boot. I don't think it would be worth the effort. A cheap mocal in the fender would work a lot better.
