General Question Reading Current Flow Diagrams
 

Okay, guys, I've unsuccessfully searched multiple times and put off asking this question for fear of being the only guy who can't "crack the code" but I can't figure it out so I'm swallowing my pride an posting the following:

Can anyone please educate me on the nomenclature used on our current flow diagrams that are notated as "NR..." For instance, in the diagram below, what the heck is "NR 2" through which all those wires pass in the lower, center portion of the diagram? I've long assumed a grommet, but "NR" means nothing to me and how the heck would I know where to find "NR 2" on my car? Or NR 179 (to the left of it). Or NR 3 (to the right of it). HELP! - Rich

My best guess is that it defines the harness number that the wires are in. Probably an assembly diagram as well as a schematic. I look at a lot of ABB drawings and they do things like that.

If thats out of a Haynes manual, throw it away. Get yourself a Bentleys.

I agree with Dennis - could be a circuit bundle or harness number. Some of the other diagrams are in English / German with the wire colors in abbreviated German (RT for Rot/Red), and the NR notation is preserved (nummer?). Gerry (86 911 Targa) on here may know for sure.

As to a guide for quickly locating them - I dunno.

Actually, I think these diagrams may have more accurate info and are preferred by some.

Better diagram for an '82 here on pelican. It actually shows the internals for the Pulse transmitter.
