Blower motor?
My blower only works on the number 2 setting. Is there any way to test if it is a switch or the motor?

If this is on your '74, I'd suspect the switch...on my '72, the blower switch is really kind of a sliding rheostat thing...motor speed of the blower increasing as the sliding arm is advanced. If that's your problem, you might go to a radio shack store, ask for some "contact cleaner", see if cleaning the contact surfaces helps the current flow...

Pull the switch area out and check you might be surprized whats in there. If its what I think there is no setting on the first 2 numbers. If you pull it out you'll be able to tell.

If it's on your 74, my guess is it's the blower unit. Mine did the same thing, untill one day it decided to just start smoking instead (not cool!). Picked up a used on at www.partsheaven.com for $50.
