I've been watching the board for a few months..thanks to all for the info and wit. You were a big help in my decision to buy Loredda..She's my great pleasure. 85-911 Red/Red (no sunroof) front and rear spoilers 17" Turbo cups..Huge music.. sassy and beautiful and too easy to go too fast...What brand radar detector should I buy?

Ha! nothing like opening a can of worms with your first post...
Valentine 1 has saved me 5 or 6 times in the past year. Expensive but for the features it offers (directional indicator, bogey counter ect.) Let the debate begin! ------------------ Regards, Eric 993 Cab Chicago |

You have inadvertently hit a raw nerve here on the PP BBS. You can use the search function to check out some of the debates. Let me see if I can sumarize the next 20 or so responses.
The concesus here on the board seems to be that the choice boils down to the Valentine One and the Passport 8500. The Valentine has long been considered the class of the field, but the Passport recently got some good press and may be a bit cheaper. But the person who wrote the favorable Passport review may have had a connection to Passport. Both brands have their supporters and they tend to be pretty loyal. All on the board agree that there are several circumstances in which no detector will do you any good, such as being hit by instant-on. But as far as detectors go, one of these shoud protect you as well as you can be. Good luck and be safe. |

Or, you can always follow the posted limit. Then suffer the nagging fear of being hit from behind.
