Fellow owners, I need some info on after market recaro seats.
Do the bolt holes on the recaro SRD ( I think that's there name) seats match those of the stock Porsche seats? I'm trying to decide on new seats, and if the Recaro's do have the same bolt pattern, i think those are what i'm going with. Lastly, I have a set of Sports seats in my car now, the factory type like Leland just sold. The passenger one is in pretty good shape, but the drivers side has a split in the bottom and on the side. If I were to sell these, how much should I ask for them? Or should I just hang on to them? Your thought are apreciated. cheers! |

The answer to your question is, it depends. If you have the sliders and the adaptor bracket is is a bolt on affair. You can adapt the slider to directly bolt on the floor of the car with some drilling. If done on my car, 89 911, you lose the inner seat belt bracket which was on the seat mount. I am not sure with yours. As far as the sport seats, the condition is important. I sold mine which were in great shape for $1500. I called PAR in NY and that is what they are selling them for.

Too big to fail

My SRD's bolted directly to the OEM sliders from my stock seats. No muss, no fuss.
It seems this is the proper way to do it for 74-> cars.

Thanks Thom! That's what I wanted to hear. I'm going with the SRD's with the sub-belt hole.
