Possibly the coolest radio setup ever...
I am shopping for a new sound system. During my search, a kid from the audio store told me about a recent installation:
Older 911 with carbs beautifully restored. Owner tells shop to install 2 microphones in the engine bay, one near the carbs, the other near the exhaust. Both are fitted with heat proof wind shielding. Owner can now switch to auxiliary input and hear the carbs sucking air from the right and the exhaust howling on the left. Stereo flat 6! Gotta love it.
