Would like your advice on tires!

Hello all. Got a blow-out on the way home from Hershey, and now I need tires. Pity that these are only about a year old, but the fronts are starting to cup- so it does seem like the right thing to do.

I have 255 40 ZR 17 on the rear, 205 50 ZR 17 on the front.

I currently have Continental Sport Contacts, but they did cup quickly... what do you guys recommend? I almost never drive in the rain and do not want to spend an arm and a leg.

Tire Rack says go w/ the Pirelli De Rosso P Zeros, Butler says get the Kuhmo 712s, and NTB says the Dunlop SP 2000s are the way to go.

Geez. Looks like I'm out big bucks.

Have you considered Yokohama A520s? They are quite sticky and costs a tinny bit more than the Kumhos. Put on 225/45 or 235/40 on the fronts - makes a better match for the 255/40.

If your tires are cupping, then perhaps your shock(s) need replacing. Tire's shouldn't cup unless they're bouncing, which they shouldn't be dling.

The 225/45s will fit w/o any problem. I have 235/40 032Rs which required lip rolling (only for track).
