Should I get some trim?

Just back from the painters a d a question came up before final spray.

Will I be using the aluminum trim peice the sits beneath the rear 1/4 window, or leaving it off, Plugging the body holes and painting t
It smooth?

This will be a frequent all (summer) weather almost daily driver street/track car.

In every pic I have looked at the angle is too low to tell if other hot rods are running this trim

I assume that I need to run the door window trim (top of door skin) and without this rear peice it ends abruptly

Feedback??
Thanks

it matches up to the door top trim, so i would leave it on for aesthetics, as well as the fit of the rubber seal on the glass. probably be a gap without it. remove it for paint though. don't forget the caulk under it to keep water out of the interior. keep the plastic spacers in order too.

It would look terrible without it. Definitely leave it on.
