ssi's = smoke in the cabin?

Ok started her up for the first time since winter storage. I know she has an oil leak somewhere, dripping on the heat exchangers BUT....It filled the cabin with smoke! Think oil burning smoke! Are the ssi's not as air tight as the oem heat exchangers?

No leak... If there is smoke in the engine bay, the fan will suck it into the heat exchangers and it will come out the vents in the cabin.
