cleaning spark plugs in ultrasonic cleaner?
I have a pile of dirtied up spark plugs (car was running rich) sitting on my bench. I adopted an ultrasonic cleaner last week... Has anyone ever tried throwing a batch of plugs into an ultrasonic cleaner for a couple hours to clean them up for re-use? Seems like a neat idea since you would avoid getting any debree into the nose of the plugs, etc.
Too many toys...

Jeff, I cleaned mine in the ultrasonic a while back, worked great.
For whatever reason, I made a device to hold them so that just the electrode portion was in the bath, probably no big deal to immerse the whole thing. I used a solution of mineral spirits and acetone. No great reason for the components but they've worked well on other parts. BTW, I tried cleaning my injectors (MFI) the other day using the same formula posted on the MFI section of Pelicans tech section. It worked really well. The injectors looked like new. It's a mixture of turpentine, paint remover and something else I can't remember.
