For me, it's a period-correct thing, I would not put yellow headlights on my street 993, the newer headlights sucked there too and I upgraded to HIDs for < $100. For the 911, it was a much pricier upgrade, going with H4s and the Cibie Oscars for the "rally-look" IROC tribute but to each his own. I've managed to talk my way out a ticket the last few times I got pulled over including the rental Maxima in the Arizona desert.
Be polite, plead ignorance and you'll probably get away with it.

yellow sealaed beam headlights

Wanted peoples opinion if the following 7" yellow motorcycle headlamp will fit into my 1975 911 with sugar scoops:

European style Yellow Cafe Racer Headlight. This is a sealed beam unit that has high and low beam. It will work with most motorcycles that used a 7 in sealed beam 6014 12volt light

My car currently has white sealed beam headlights.
I NEVER drive it at night, and I always drive with my low beams on and I don't have any fog lights.

My car is black and I'm interested in the "look" of yellow head lamps and want to keep the car original so I don't want to do an H4 conversion.

Just like the look of yellow daytime running lights.
The above listed lights have 3 prongs that I believe are compatible.

Thank You!!!

OP lives in Israel so different laws apply.

The Dutchies and Belgians sometimes have yellow headlights; maybe google for suppliers in those countries.

I am really only concerned about fitment.

Because I only drive during the day-- have had the car 8 years and NEVER once driven at night-- I was thinking that cops won't enforce the yellow headlight rule during the brightness of day.

Does anyone know if these bulbs will fit???
Thank You

ybn533, I agree with jager911. It's your car, do whatever the hell you want to with it.

For me, I'd love to put some yellow lens headlights on my car. It would look a lot like the one pictured above, but H5s are somewhat rare and when they do become avail are ridiculously expensive. Doing an H4 conversion is just as pricey as just getting a pair of H5s.

Good luck in finding what you want.

DeRRis

Thanks for the link.
What you sent are lenses and not sealed beam units, so I'm guessing some modification would be required, I'm not opposed to that... but as those lenses are described in German I'm not sure what I'm getting into.

They don't look like H4 lenses, do you know what they are called?
Do they work with sugar scoops, etc?
Thank You

They won't work with sugar scoops. In the first post of this topic a photo was posted. These headlights are referred to as H4. But H4 is a lightbulb not a complete headlight assembly. To achieve the look of the first post you'll need H4 headlight assembly's. Like this

https://www.ebay.de/itm/Magneti-Marelli-Scheinwerfer-Umrust-Set-mit-Lackringen-passend-fur-Porsche-911-/172928386087?hash=item284355c427:g:A2kAAOSwg89Z4yN c

Then you swap the lenses for the ones I posted earlier.

Krylon stained glass paint in a shake can. Try it out. Make sure you like it and that your local law enforcement doesn't give you a ticket. Then you can modify at your leisure.

Since output is not important to me, not a single street is without a light where I live I wrapped mine in yellow tint and I like it a lot.

There are few variations of the tint and you can always peel off to go to the original.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1511265880.jpg
