Prognosis please

Exported this little targa from the UK to Australia. Finally managed to get under it today for a good look around.

Pretty pleased with the condition apart from the area shown in the bottom photo.

What is it? Hours of labour to fix? Welding job?

Is it terminal?

The trailing arm box on the torque tube. There should be lots of metal there, just clean it up and reseal it. If it were rusted away you could weld a new box in place.
